Founded in 1974 by two motorcycle-loving brothers, Skjern Motorcycles has been a trusted name in western Denmark for over 50 years. Today, as a licensed Yamaha and Kawasaki dealer, Skjern MC is committed to delivering the best service to every customer.

But with every delivery of motorcycles and parts came piles of packaging. At first, the issue went unnoticed, but eventually the team realized a new system was needed to handle the growing trash and keep the shop in order.

Once Skjern MC realized packaging trash was the core of the problem, they reached out to Mil-tek for help.

The site survey determined that the A406 baler model was the right solution. With a broader door frame the A406 allowed easy loading of bulky cardboard and boxes on site, while the existing compressed air line meant installation would be straightforward and efficient.

It started with the goal of clearing away piles of packaging. But soon, the team discovered that better trash management brought benefits far beyond a tidy shop.

Once the cardboard was no longer scattered across the shop floor, the staff gained valuable work space . Every box was loaded into the baler rather than tossed in the trash container, which meant the dumpster filled up at a much slower pace.

Cutting down on trips outside meant doors didn’t have to be opened as often. As a result, the shop stayed cozy, tidy, and dry – and energy bills for heat and electricity were reduced.
