Featuring a footprint of just over 3 square feet, the Mil-tek model 2205 baler is a small size, compact vertical baler that surprisingly large amount of cardboard or plastic trash.
Despite it's small size, the Mil-tek 2205 can create bales of up to 260 lb (plastic) and 130 lb (cardboard). This makes the 2205 ideal for smaller locations where efficient trash handling is an integral part of the operation.
As it is an pneumatic (compressed air) powered machine, the 2205 can be installed directly into a kitchen, or in a food production or a food preparation area. It is free of hydraulic oil and contaminants. The pneumatic power also means that the baler can apply constant compacting pressure, without using further power to do so.
Updated to comply with EN16500 safety standards - the new de facto safety standard all vertical balers should adhere to - the 2205 baler boasts a range of new features including a bale-out indicator, a cycle counter, improved fail-safes and an even faster pressing cycle of just 7-8 seconds.
Agro Korn produce animal feed. It is a great example of just how much waste is accumulated in production. A Mil-tek 205 compacts paper sacks, plastic sacks, and big grain bags.
Mitre 10 are a hardware supplies chain in New Zealand. They found that as their business grew, as did the problem of waste. Mil-tek machinery allows them compact large volumes into small balers.
Puratos supply ingredients for the catering industry. They use a Mil-tek 205 allowing them to hygienically compact paper bags in the working area as they are used, saving them time and money and improving efficiency.
A Mil-tek technician will guide you through installation, which is done by simply connecting your new 2205 Baler to a compressed air supply. You are now ready to start minimizing your waste.
Fill the chamber with cardboard or plastic and close the door. Once the handle is pressed down, the machine is activated and the minimizing has begun. Repeat until the baler is full.
A Mil-tek consultant will guide you in making this decision. What you need to know is the approximate amount of e.g. cardboard you generate every day, in what stream and in what sizes it comes. In addition to this you should know how much space you have available for a machine. This basic information combined with your business set-up forms the basis for evaluating which model machine you need.
Leave it to you consultant to help advise there. Depending on a range of factors including your internal processes, your consultant will recommend an optimal location for installation.
EN16500 is a new safety standard for vertical balers designed to ensure absolute safety for the user at all times. Despite the fact that Mil-tek have never had a liability case in its entire history, the new features enhance the safety and performance of the machine. Contact a Mil-tek consultant for further information on EN16500 features.
As they are air-powered (pneumatic) rather than hydraulic, Mil-tek balers are extremely quiet. If you have an existing air-line you simply plug the machine and then your existing compressor acts as the engine. If you need to have a compressor installed, a Mil-tek technician will ensure that the compressor is placed at a distance from the machine and then install an air-hose between the compressor and the machine.
Ideal for baling plastic packaging typically used in the transportation and protection of clothing and consumable items. Constant pressure ensures an extremely dense bale is produced that is both easy to handle and easy to recycle. The baler can also be used to recycle smaller volumes of cardboard in small/medium supermarkets, convenience stores and general retail outlets.
A constant flow of ingredients arriving in cardboard boxes can account for up to 60% of kitchen waste. The small-footprint 2205 baler fits neatly indoors or out to enable baling and recycling of cardboard and plastic. The result is a reduction in waste disposal costs, a reduction in the amount of space designated to waste and a reduction in the number of bin collections and lift frequency.
The 2205 baler has a door opening that is perfect for wine, spirit and food boxes. The baler can be located indoors, close to the waste source or outside if space is limited. Being air-powered, the 2205 baler can safely be placed in an area where food is prepared as there is no risk of hazardous oil spillage.
