The Mil-tek 2509 has a wide door opening making it perfect for loading large cardboard boxes and other materials. It also has two powerful cylinders applying constant pressure resulting in dense and heavy bales.
The Mil-tek 2509 is used in companies and locations where there is a need for handling a larger amount of trash without taking up much floor space. The 2509 baler is ideal for loading whole cardboard boxes, eliminating the need for flat packing and regular trips to outside dumpsters.
The cardboard bales fit perfectly on to a standard pallet, making them easy to store and transport. The Mil-tek 2509 can be situated close to where waste is generated, and its safety and operational features makes the 2509 an ergonomic, easy, clean and safe machine to use.
The Mil-tek 2509 is powered by compressed air, either directly from an existing air-line or from a compressor supplied by Mil-tek. This means that the Mil-tek 2509 is free of both electrical and hydraulic components, minimizing the risk of fire and completely eliminating the risk of oil contamination.
An automated bale-out function makes it fast, safe and easy to empty the baler.
Currys is a British electrical retailer operating in the UK and Ireland. They installed a Mil-tek 509 in store to effectively reduce the amount of space dedicated to trash.
Buildbase is a national builders' merchant with 130 branches throughout the UK. They partnered with Mil-tek to reduce their trash costs and the amount of trash being sent to landfill.
Secor Group are a global logistics and mobility services company. The introduction of a Mil-tek 509 has improved the logistics of work and use of staff time.
A Mil-tek technician will guide you through installation, which is done by simply connecting your 2509 baler to a compressed air supply. You are now ready to start minimizing your waste.
Fill the chamber with material and close the door. Once the handle is pressed down, the machine is activated and the minimizing has begun. Repeat until the baler is full.
A Mil-tek consultant will guide you in making this decision. What you need to know is the approximate amount of e.g. cardboard you generate every day, in what stream and in what sizes it comes. In addition to this you should know how much space you have available for a machine. This basic information combined with your business set-up forms the basis for evaluating which model machine you need.
Your internal working processes and the data available on your waste streams will provide you with that answer. Together with Mil-tek, we will ensure you find the optimal spot in your workplace.
Yes it is. Over the last number of years Mil-tek have been a part of a Health and Safety Executive committee that has been committed to creating new improved standards for the safe use of vertical balers. As a result we have made a significant number of improvements to the model 2509 in order to comply with EN16500 standards and to ensure safe use for the end-user. As they are air-powered (pneumatic) rather than hydraulic, Mil-tek balers are extremely quiet. If you have an existing air-line you simply plug the machine and then your existing compressor acts as the engine. If you need to have a compressor installed, a Mil-tek technician will ensure that the compressor is placed at a distance from the machine and then install an air-hose between the compressor and the machine.
Ideal for baling plastic packaging typically used in the transportation and protection of clothing and consumable items. Constant pressure ensures an extremely dense bale is produced that is both easy to handle and easy to recycle. The baler can also be used to recycle smaller volumes of cardboard in small/medium supermarkets, convenience stores and general retail outlets.
The wide door and deep chamber of the Mil-tek 2509 baler means large volumes of cardboard can be baled without the need for breaking down or flat packing. Plastic packaging stored in Mil-tek plastic bag stands can be placed directly into the baler saving time and therefore cost when dealing with packaging trash.
The modern waste technique of segregating and baling packaging waste using strategically placed recycling points has resulted in a significant increase in productivity across a range of organisations. A Mil-tek 2509 baler accompanied by a small plastic baler (such as a model 2102 or 2205 baler), and strategically placed plastic bag stand can vastly improve logistics where a steady stream of packaging waste is created in multiple areas.
