Mil-tek baler helps Westieri Beds optimize trash management

Smart management of plastic and cardboard trash.

Creating room for production expansion

Westieri Beds’ bed frame manufacturing and packaging generate considerable amounts of cardboard and plastic waste. To manage this, the invested in a 306 baler. Beyond ensuring a tidier workplace, the baler has also resulted in notable cost reductions.

Trash streams from bed production and packaging

Westieri Beds produces divan bed frames through a careful mix of design, engineering, and craft. After production, each item is thoroughly packaged to avoid damage during delivery to retailers and customers.

This process generates substantial volumes of cardboard and plastic packaging trash, from production as well as packaging.

To address this, Westieri Beds partnered with Mil-tek, and invested in an on site baler to manage trash more effecient.

Cardboard and plastic baled with 306

To manage cardboard and clear plastics, Westieri Beds installed a Mil-tek 306 baler. This model, the predecessor of the 406 Mil-tek baler, featuring a wide chamber capable of accommodating bulky cardboard and plastic from bed production, making it the perfect solution.

With cardboard and plastic individually fed directly into the baler as trash arises, operations are simplified, efficiency increases, and significant space is freed up.
