In Wales, The Real Pet Food Company creates top-tier branded pet food. Like human food manufacturing, the company must comply with rigorous hygiene measures to prevent contamination. In addition to organic trash management, effective recycling and disposal systems for packaging materials such as cardboard and plastic are required. Hygienic trash handling with air-driven baler
Mil-tek set up a 2205 vertical baler in the section of the plant generating cardboard and plastic waste.
Thanks to its small size, the baler is positioned right next to the production line, enabling staff to discard trash on the spot rather than carrying it elsewhere. Being air-powered and oil-free, it is also perfectly suited for operations where hygiene and contamination control are essential.
Plans for a second baler under consideration
Successful results from the baler and trash handling improvements showed up right away. Employees reduced trips to disposal areas, doors stayed shut longer, and hygiene standards increased – supporting The Real Petfood Company’s quality-focused production.
