In 1978, Greg Frushour, founder Mil-tek Indiana, was among the first graduates of the School of Public and Environmental Affairs from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. Greg worked in and around the environmental industry over the years in environmental and recycling committees, but never as a professional environmentalist.
Then in the spring of 2012, Greg had the good fortune to sit next to Kristian Skannerup (Mil-tek CEO & Founder), on a flight to New York City from Washington DC. Both men had a story to tell and it made for a short trip. A trip to Mil-tek HQ followed and before the ink was dry on the creation of Mil-tek Indiana, they already had signed their first customers.
"Mil-tek Indiana has grown since and is now divided into three regions: North (HQ), Central (Indianapolis), and South (Evansville). Our main operations are from a 1,500 square foot warehouse and office space in Plymouth, IN, and an environmental message is stamped across everything we do. Our current environmental project is to use rainwater to operate the irrigation and toilets, and between now and 2017, we will install solar panels and be officially off-the-grid.
We are one of the youngest branches at Mil-tek so we believe the best is yet ahead of us and are looking forward to 2016 and beyond."
